My Name is Abigail McBride. I am a Christ follower, wife to an incredible hardworking man, mother to my own personal tornado (whom I treasure) and to 4 dogs, around 50 chickens and 6 Turkeys. 

This life can really take a toll on you but we are blessed that Christ has seen us through-- every. single. time.  When I met my husband I was working behind the bar in a smokey western saloon style venue. We were both far from where the Lord would take us but, if you know God, then you know his plans are ALWAYS good. 3 months into dating we found out, Brandon, my husband had bladder cancer.  It was the kind of news that will rattle you to your very core and it did.  I never thought I would call the very thing that stole our ability to have more children, a blessing. I never thought I would call cancer a blessing, but it was. Through our journey my husband had his bladder removed and joined the ostomy brotherhood lol. Through our journey we found our faith, our community, our love for the church, and our relationship which had previously been put on the back burner with Jesus Christ. 
As we grew in the Lord I felt him calling me out of nightlife, out of the bar, and into something new. I felt him calling me into sobriety and into an adventure where I could change the lives and perceptions of women all around me. It was time for me to walk in my calling and cease working to just merely exist. It was time for me to do something that mattered that allowed for me to be the mother and wife the Lord wanted me to be. 

Out of this realization (and inspiration from the flock of silkie chickens I am so in love with) Fluffy as Flock was born. Sitting in the same place I type this out to you the idea that changed our lives was given to us. 

Fluffy as Flock aims to provide women from all walks of life with items that encourage, embolden, and possess long lasting quality. We want to be where you find your FAVORITE things! We want to be where you go when you have the opportunity to someone special a gift they will truly treasure. We aim to provide you with unique, high quality, locally sourced items. Most of our items come from our home state, TEXAS--and ALL of the handmade totes and upcycled jean bags are HANDMADE by my own mother (who you would be incredibly blessed to own anything she has made. The woman is a saint.) 

We are here to support you by curating items that give you the confidence you need to chase your dreams. We want you to put on a blazer you found at our shop and OWN that business presentation you have been so nervous about. We want you to find that special item that your daughter or niece falls in love with and that you get to hand down so she can enjoy it to. We want to be involved in your successes, in your failures, in your trials, and in your triumphs. We want to cheer you on and help you walk ANYWHERE you go IN PURPOSE. We want you confidently walking WITH PURPOSE as you clean yesterday's dirty dishes and throw another load of laundry in the dryer. We want you confidently walking IN PURPOSE as you present the business plan for your small business that will change the trajectory of your family.
